Nuts can starve off hunger without causing weight gain, despite their fattening reputation. Studies show that eating nuts can lower LDL cholesterol such as; pistachio, hazelnuts, brazilian nuts, walnuts and almonds which may further protect your heart by slowing the absorption of sugar into your blood after eating a high-carbohydrate meal.
