A Key to the SOLUTION in
Balancing Hormones
Following my hysterectomy, I developed
such horrible hormonal fluctuations that
made my life so uncomfortable that I could
barely function due to insomnia, hot flashes,
dry throat and ringing in the ears. Dr. Voss's
3 acupuncture treatments and her herbal
formula relieved my discomfort and symptoms.

Most Frequently Asked Questions
Q. How does estrogen dominance and hormonal imbalance occur?
A. There are several ways this can happen, women are exposed to excessive estrogens through certain chemicals that are used in pesticides, plastics and fuels, certain animal or dairy by products, prescription medications, abdominal fat, skin, cosmetic and hair products all interfere with normal hormonal activity in the body.
A treatment in the last 2 decades that became quite popular is for hormonal imbalances to be treated with progesterone cream. Some women reported a relief of mild hormonal imbalance symptoms using progesterone cream. However, any additional progesterone that's delivered inside the body including through the skin can be metabolized as estrogen. The result is even greater hormonal imbalances in estrogen dominance of the "bad estrogen." In most cases, women do not need more hormones. Between the use of hormones in cattle, poultry and dairy products, xenoestrogens in plastic, fuel and pesticides, chemicals in skin, cosmetics and hair products that we are exposed to daily, we could do with a little less of the "bad hormones." We have the hormones we need when we need them. What we do need though, is help in metabolizing estrogen and keeping our own hormones balanced with the help of herbal supplementation, proper diet, exercise, rest, less stress and acupuncture.
